Hurricane Emergency Fund
The Florida Keys Council of the Arts has established a hurricane emergency fund.
The purpose of the emergency fund is to provide short-term programming support to Florida Keys arts organizations and individual artists.
- Emergency funding is limited to once in three years.
- Funding is available up to $1,000 per request.
- Requests greater than $1,000 will be considered depending on funds available at the time of the request.
The letter of application should include a brief summary of the request which must address the following. Organize your response with the headings below.
a) Need
b) Use of funds
c) Future support anticipated from sources other than the Arts Council.
Eligible applications for Emergency Fund Grants will be reviewed by a panel consisting of one arts council board member, one arts council staff member, and one independent arts professional. FKCA board will consider applications based on the panel recommendation.
