The Murray E. Nelson Government & Cultural Center in Key Largo just celebrated its grand opening on February 17, 2009.  The Key West International Airport terminal project is underway with all artwork expected to be installed by this summer. Please click here to view photos.

Monroe County is proud to be one of over 300 Public Art programs in the United States. Public art ranks among the most visible and rapidly growing segments of the arts in America with public art budgets having grown steadily over the past five years.

Public Art creatively enhances public spaces and encourages civic pride. Our successful and established program has improved the physical, cultural, and economic aspects of our communities across the Key’s contributing to our cultural and creative legacy.
