Spring Break Camp. Thanks to a new partnership between The Mel Fisher Maritime Museum and The Studios of Key West, creative local kids now have an exciting opportunity to explore sculpture, history, and adventure at a new Spring-break camp, March 31 to April 4. The week-long educational experience will be held from 9 am to 1 pm, and enrollment is now open at $175 per child.
The program is being coordinated by Mel Fisher Maritime Museum educators Monica Fienemann and Dawn Sieracki, and begins with two days at the Key West Armory, two days at the Maritime Museum, and a closing day exploring sculptural installations at Fort Zachary Taylor.
Enrollment is open to students in grades 2 through 5, and places are limited to 20. Snack will be provided daily, but parents will need to provide a lunch for each day. The sculpture camp will culminate in an end-of-week showcase for students, parents and friends.

The Cultural American Music Program (CAMP) and Careers 2008, presented by the Educational Coalition for Monroe County (ECMC) is accepting applications from 7th-12th grade students for the dual enrollment/high school honor music program. Limited intern positions are available for degree seeking college freshmen & sophomores. NEW in 2008: two career focused programs for non-music students. Culinary arts/hospitality management/tourism and film/video productions offered for dual enrollment credit for non-music students and as elective choices for music students. CAMP runs June 14-July 19 at Marathon School. Countywide transportation is provided with stops at Coral Shores High School, the Islamorada Library, FKCC (KW Campus), Sugarloaf School, and the Big Pine Charter School.
