Applications for Cultural Umbrella Funding

Applications for Cultural Umbrella funding for the advertising and promotion of cultural events will be available on March 27, 2006. Applications can be found at www.keysarts.com, the Florida Keys Council of the Arts office in the Gato Building, 1100 Simonton St, and at Monroe County Library branches.

The Florida Keys Council of the Arts is pleased to administer the Cultural Umbrella for the TDC. Three workshops for assistance in application development will be offered as follows:

Wednesday, March 29
10 a.m. — Key Largo Library, MM 101.4,
Tradewinds Shopping Center, Key Largo
2 p.m. — Marathon Community Theatre,
5101 Overseas Hwy., Marathon

Thursday, March 30
10 a.m. — 2nd floor conference room, Gato Building,
1100 Simonton St., Key West

The Application is due on May 26, 2006 before 5 p.m. in the office of:

Florida Keys Council of the Arts
The Gato Building
1100 Simonton Street
Key West, FL 33040

Applications will be recommended for funding at a meeting on Monday, June 19 at 10 a.m. at the Marathon Garden Club.

Past recipients of Cultural Umbrella funding include Key West Symphony Orchestra, Sculpture Key West, Red Barn Actors Studio, South Florida Center for the Arts, Marathon Community Theater, the Florida Keys Art Guild, and Heritage House/Robert Frost Poetry Festival.
