YOUR ART "LIGHT" UP THE CITY
Call to Visual Artists
The Key West Art in Public Places Board is
seeking artists to design and paint murals on twelve canvasses
that will be placed on a street banner mounting system to be
located in various locations in the City. The Board is
looking for artwork that is consistent and appropriate to the
theme of
"Island of the
Arts".
The selected artists will be paid $500.00 for each banner that is chosen, which will involve painting on a 24" x 36" double sided unbleached canvas using exterior acrylic paint. The artist will supply any and all requirements necessary to finish the job.
A
mandatory workshop will be scheduled at
Key West
City Hall, 525 Angela Street,
ADAConference Room on
Wednesday, September 13th at 5:30 PM
for anyone wishing to
apply for the project.
The workshop will allow
artists the opportunity to learn and discuss the details of
the banner project, and also will explain what information
will need to be included in an artist's proposal to the
Board.
