Makes Award to Longtime Board Member Rocky Hubert

Rocky Hubert (right) was recognized for his contributions to the arts community by the board of the Florida Keys Council of the Arts. Chair C.J. Groth (left) presented the award.

Rocky is well-known and appreciated for volunteering for many community organizations in the Keys, including serving as Chair of the Florida Keys Council of the Arts. He will continue to serve on the Arts Council's Advisory Board. Rocky also has served in leadership roles for the Upper Keys Jaycees (president), Saint James Episcopal Church (vestryman and treasurer), the Monroe County Housing Finance Authority (chair), the Guidance Clinic of the Upper Keys, and Leadership Monroe. He also served for several years on the Cultural Umbrella committee.

The Florida Keys Council of the Arts connects those who create the arts with those who support the arts. The Arts Council makes grants, creates art in public places, and publishes a Gallery Guide and Cultural Calendars.
