Larry Thimmesch

Larry Thimmesch is a formally trained artist working in watercolor, oil and acrylic painting and also three dimensional sculptures. His approach to public art is to represent the people and places that viewers would also want to experience, by interpreting the beauty and mystic of the local world around us. Public art can create new connections and the sense of belonging, emphasizing the natural and constructed beauty, history and the people who live there. This can be accomplished through many diverse techniques, styles and mediums, representing the myriad of personal interpretations that exist, and the diversity in our people and our cultures, but all tied by a common bond of existence.
