The Council currently manages rotating exhibits in public buildings by visual artists and music in public places by local musicians.
With the support of board and advisory board members and dedicated volunteers, the Council also maintains an artist registry; publishes and distributes a weekly and quarterly Cultural Calendar, gallery guide, and a map to historic WPA artwork; and maintains a website at www.keysarts.com. The Executive Director serves as staff and liaison to the County Art in Public Places Committee and the TDC's Cultural Umbrella Committee. Other ongoing initiatives include mini-grants, workshops, and managing a county-wide Performing Arts Network, Artists in School and ArtReach grant programs, and tourist tax funding for promotion of cultural events.
